You can view source even if there's a pop-up asking for a password. Keyboard macos still work. =P
Most password codes require that you have the password directly in the code, otherwise they don't function. Unless you want to go through all the trouble of creating a .js file and linking it.... But you'd still be able to find the password if you really wanted to. You're far better off using either of these.
