ok-i'm finally going to buy a camera...well, my dad is so what should i get? i dont really know a lot about camera so i need all the help i can get. i dont know how much he's willing to spend but i wouldnt want him to spend over about $200 so PLEASE help me out. i want something that takes good image quality pictures and will last. not huge either.

$200 for the Camera itself, god, my memory cards cost more than that LOL. I would go with a Nikon Coolpix 5700 / 5 Megapixel / 8x Optical Zoom / 4x Digital Zoom but there about 2x the ammount your allowed to spend. Now a Fuji Finepix S3100 / 4 Megapixel / 6x Optical Zoom / 3.4x Digital Zoom would be a grate starter camera for $249.99. And maybee even a Kodak EasyShare DX6490 / 4 Megapixel / 10x Optical Zoom / 3x Digital Zoom for $279.99. I mean I started out with a Sony Cybershot back in the day, there nice cameras but cost about $800.00....
I would tell you to get the Camera I have laying next to me but its about 14x as much as you have to spend. I would go with the Fuji Finepix, they have nice warranties and have extremely nice lenses. As for the Kodak, it lacks in the lens department and does not really have that good of a body - and well it does have that fancy name. |
