welll.. if you were once loved, its great, but if you find out they're suddenly cheating on you.. dont you feel like your lfie is ruined? [for a while] or get reallyreally frustrated..? or.. what breaks the relationship apart??
if you havent loved, then you might think something is wrong with you.. but you can have frends i guess, and not be in pain from a past relationship. ehh.. i dont really know  but people always say it's better to have loved..

i think its definetely "better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all" Yeah it may seem like your world has fallen apart, but at least you had the experience of being in love and you should know that, that feeling of depression or a lost love will go away sooner or later and you can move on with life..if you never find love in life, think about what you're missing out on..
