love..a strong word? Options

recently i have stop using the word "love" usually whenever i have an crush on someone i go "i love him so much" or when i have a boyfriend i go throwing the word "love" around like its nothing

then my friend Jane [iNYCxSHORT] told me to think about it, do you really LOVE him? love's a really STRONG word. it means you would acctally jump in front of a bullet for him. ever since i've been thinking about it. its true. love is an extremly strong word. and when people use the word love like its nothing, & go "oh its just a word your over reacting" i get annoyed.

you dont HAVE to use the word love you can replace it with something else that means somewhat like it. like me for example whenever i mean to say "i love you" i go "i heart you" or "i <3 you"

am i just over reacting? or do you agree?

However, it's what is Love and what is LUST that people are confused about.

YES, I belive LOVE is an EXTREMELY POWERFUL word and I don't like this "I love you" crap that people just SAY.

I had talked to this girl a while back.(She had a bad past, she wasn't looked very highly upon) I talked to her for a while. And well, eventually she had told me this:

"Your the first guy I've ever said 'I Love You' to and meant it."(From here on is a rough quote)"I use to tell guys I loved them, because...I don't know, it seemed insulting to not say love. I had to pretend, you were the only one I didn't have to pretend around."

(Guys, I was more like her brother, nothing really happend)

Why did I tell you this? To illistrate that people can be young, and they conform to everyone else because they care for someone. But when you have to say "Love" so that you can make someone who feels "Lust" feel closer to you, then you're using a powerful word for a powerful sin.

I'm not saying people are bad, I just can't stand hearing people say "Love" and "Hate" so much
