Ok, here's the story. I'm going to leave for Florida on Friday, but my period just came (not for the first time). the car trip is going to suck because I'll be cramped between people and feeling sick... how am I supposed to swim? Do tampons work well in water??? I dont use them, but I dont want my vacation to be ruined. i also have another question... if my period is light on some days, would a regular absorbancy tampon be ok? I dont want TSS. Any advice or good cheer would comfort me. Has this ever happened to any of you?

Tampons are perfectly safe if you follow the instructions.
And they're less messy than pads, allow you to swim, and are getting more and more compact. TSS doesn't depend on the absorbancy of the tampon, it's only if you leave it in too long, too often. |
