Ok, here's the story. I'm going to leave for Florida on Friday, but my period just came (not for the first time). the car trip is going to suck because I'll be cramped between people and feeling sick... how am I supposed to swim? Do tampons work well in water??? I dont use them, but I dont want my vacation to be ruined. i also have another question... if my period is light on some days, would a regular absorbancy tampon be ok? I dont want TSS. Any advice or good cheer would comfort me. Has this ever happened to any of you?

Like everyone else said, please calm down!
![]() Tampons work wonders in water. You won't even feel it! I use Playtex Gentle Glide. Regular absorbancy will work fine. You have your period for the first time, so it's not going to be heavy at all. Don't worry about TSS. As long as you don't leave the tampon in for more than 6 to 8 hours, you will be fine. I hope you have fun in Florida! Don't let your period ruin it. ![]() |
