any of u guys got an overly religous family? i do
my parents are religous, but not as religous as my grandmas and aunts and uncles who i always see. and when i say overly religous i mean relatives that go to church EVERYday of the week. monday, tuesday, wednesday etc. relatives that say everythings the devil, "this movie is the devil" "that book is the devil" "your the devil!" i remember once when my cousins lost their parents, my parents offered to take them in. but my grandma and my aunt are all like "no, you dont go to to church enough we'll take them." my aunt says she has a personal relationship with jesus, like she talks to him all the time. ![]() for having a girlfriend. and if i had a penny for everytime my aunt and grams was slain in the spirit i'd have about 2 dollars. |

When I was growing up, my family went to church at least three times a week, twice on Sunday and once on Wednesday. I moved out after I turned 18, and then I did what I wanted. I went through an agnostic phase, and now I go to mass once a week usually, occasionally I go during the week once. But, when I go visit them, I abide by their rules if I stay in their house. I feel like if you live with your parents (or really, whoever is giving you shelter and food and love) you need to abide by their rules, at least in their house. If there is something you really want to do, in most cases you'll do it ( reading in the school library, ha, I love that one, I did that!) but in their home, well, it's THEIR home, when you get your own home, you can have the rules the way YOU want them.
My two cents. |
