I share a DSL connection with about 7 people in my building but i dont think this has to do with the problem.
On the box I have in my house , three lights are supposed to be on the internet could work , and they are on. The problem is We have 2 computers in the house and for some reason lately I have to turn on my moms computer to activate the internet on mine , its a bother because now my mom decided to put a PW and she forgets how she typed it , soo right now im stuck with Dial Up and I want to play MapleStory. Anyone know to to fix the problem , or what might be the problem. |

Emily, do you have a router? That sometimes happens to me. The router is always the problem. If you do, try unplugging the router and plug it again.
Before I had the router, the same problem worked. First shut down your computer. Turn the DSL box off (and unplug the router if you have one) wait for about 5-10 minutes. Turn on the DSL box first. Wait until they're done blinking & then plug in your router (if you have one). Next start up your computer & It should work. That's what the DSL staff told me. |

That's what they tell everyone, and half the time it isn't the case and still doesn't work. It's your crappy internet service. |
