I share a DSL connection with about 7 people in my building but i dont think this has to do with the problem.

On the box I have in my house , three lights are supposed to be on the internet could work , and they are on. The problem is We have 2 computers in the house and for some reason lately I have to turn on my moms computer to activate the internet on mine , its a bother because now my mom decided to put a PW and she forgets how she typed it , soo right now im stuck with Dial Up and I want to play MapleStory.

Anyone know to to fix the problem , or what might be the problem.

Emily, do you have a router? That sometimes happens to me. The router is always the problem. If you do, try unplugging the router and plug it again.

Before I had the router, the same problem worked. First shut down your computer. Turn the DSL box off (and unplug the router if you have one) wait for about 5-10 minutes. Turn on the DSL box first. Wait until they're done blinking & then plug in your router (if you have one). Next start up your computer & It should work. That's what the DSL staff told me.

That's what they tell everyone, and half the time it isn't the case and still doesn't work. It's your crappy internet service.
