I share a DSL connection with about 7 people in my building but i dont think this has to do with the problem.

On the box I have in my house , three lights are supposed to be on the internet could work , and they are on. The problem is We have 2 computers in the house and for some reason lately I have to turn on my moms computer to activate the internet on mine , its a bother because now my mom decided to put a PW and she forgets how she typed it , soo right now im stuck with Dial Up and I want to play MapleStory.

Anyone know to to fix the problem , or what might be the problem.

MAPLESTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol add me BlindSouljah!! anyways you said that the only way to log on internet is through your moms computer most likely you have your internet connection plugged in from there where the router is connected to the modem. But if it's your mom having to forget the password you can reset the account by logging on as administrator by resetting in safe mode.

Windows XP Boot in Safe Mode:

1) During startup when your computer starts running, continuously tap F8 untill a menu appears.

2) From the menu select Safe Mode and let it start.

3) When the log on screen appears choose administrator to log in and reset the accounts or change passwords.

You might want to delete the account if the password cant be change and make a new one while your still logged in as administrator. That should help your internet problem and your passwords.
