my start menu disapeared. it was working fine before. can anybody help me?

well.. i barely used the computer today except in the morning and the start menu (taskbar) was there before (only went to yesasia.com. Doubting that site gives out viruses). i tried unlocking the taskbar but it didn't work after i found out my task bar disappeared.
