Okay, here's the story:

A few weeks ago I had an argument with my friend Valerie... She was mad because I was telling another friend, Steven, about how she had 3 boyfriends at one time. And I told Valerie, 'Well, I'm not denying it, but I just want you to know... I wasn't the only one, Angela was telling him the same things.'

Well, now Angela is mad at me, and she says that I was talking about her behind her back. I wasn't, really, I was just making a point, and I don't think she should act like Valerie's friend when she's also saying stuff about her. Anyway, I found something by Angela today saying how her true friends won't talk about her behind her back.

I feel bad that she thinks that, but here's the thing... Angela and I have been into so many arguements, I'm sick of it. To be honest, I don't want to be friends with her anymore. She makes me feel like I have to watch everything I do or she'll be mad at me. So basically, I want to tell her, 'I wasn't talking about you', but One: She won't listen. And two: That might lead to us making up and being friends again, which, quite frankly, I do not want.

I want to end the friendship, but I don't want us going into 8th grade still being angry at eachother. (I'm mad at her because she was calling me a slut, and she's mad at me, because I was "talking about her behind her back".)

If you don't understand, just say and I'll try to explain it better, but what should I do?

I know you were just making a point, but you did talk about Angela behind her back when you told Valerie that she was talking about her. If you don't want to be friends anymore then why would you even bother making up? Just go to her and say sorry but to be honest, it'll fade away on its own....it's not like the problem is that big of an issue. However....if you really want the argument to resolve quickly, just go up to her and apologize. After that...you can just greet her and move on everytime you see her in the hallways.
