what would you rather be carrying around?
a cd player with a cd that can only hold up to 80 minutes of music. you have to keep buying new batteries for, and the price range can go from 10-200 dollers. or an ipod which can store up to 1,000 songs 4GB for the minis 20 GB for the regular of music storage and has an 8 hour batterly life which the minis cost 240 dollers and come in five different colors or the regular which are white. |

Get something with a removable battery that can be easily replaced for very little cost if it doesnt hold a charge. Personally I love the Creative Zen Touch. 250$ for a 20gig one that has a 24 hour battery life and an FM radio. I mean, not much more ya need..except maybe the 40 gig one ![]() |

And it's not that hard to open it. The average technical impared person probably could replace the battery by themselves, but probably leaving a few tiny scratches on the iPod here and there. But those can most likely be easily removed with iCleaner, unless it's an iPod Mini. And six months after the warranty is over, if your battery is drops below 50% capacity, you can get it replaced for free. I think the Creative Zen Touch is pretty good, the user-replaceable battery is only $40, and it has a radio and voice recorder, but the 'touch' part isn't very good, because you can't scroll through many songs at once, and it is also very sensitive. And the battery is twelve hours not twenty four. Get your facts straight, haha. ![]() ..Quotes QUOTE During the second year, Apple will replace the battery if it drops below 50% of its original capacity. http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.html (see red text) QUOTE Up to 12 hour battery life There is enough battery life in Zen Micro to keep you dancing from dusk till dawn and still be listening to tunes during the morning commute. But don't let the music stop there? http://us.creative.com/products/products.a...95&campid=20588 (see blue text) QUOTE If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery replacement for $99. http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.html (see orange text) Opening The iPod.. http://www.ipodbattery.com/ipodinstall.htm (see green text) |
