I'd say a simple machine. A Ferris wheel is basically just a wheel and axle; a wheel and axle is a perfect example of a simple machine.
The problem, though, is that a Ferris wheel contains a motor and other equipment to make it run, which could make it into a compound machine, as it requires more than one application of force to work. |
