i got suspended for saying helll.
apparently accidentally adding three llls while typing too fast is circumvention. they broke quite a few rules, and didn't give me a warning or anything, and just suspended me forever. stupid site. anyways: i sent an PM complaining and i got IP banned: here's the PM i sent: QUOTE QUOTE you have been placed on indefinite suspension for posting due to violation of forum guidelines on ffilter circumvention. forward questions to <mikemey> Thanks, Emma MBP Forum Support Team i did not circumvent any filters. mayhaps i were typing too fast, and mispelled something. since my post was conviently deleted, it will be my word against emma's, right? well, look. i seem to have that post in cashe... here it is. QUOTE QUOTE(BariEuph @ Jun 6 2005 @ 11:18 AM) if you don't like the guidelines, you're more than welcome to leave MBP. you agreed to abide by them when you signed up for this site. it's good to read the fine print sometimes before just clicking "accept" smile.gif * the fine print says nothing about the word ####. (filter's going to get that, so no one will have any idea what i said. for all they know, i could be saying any bad word) #### (hĕl) pronunciation n. 1. 1. often #### The abode of condemned souls and devils in some religions; the place of eternal punishment for the wicked after death, presided over by Satan. 2. A state of separation from God; exclusion from God's presence. 2. The abode of the dead, identified with the Hebrew Sheol and the Greek Hades; the underworld. 3. 1. A situation or place of evil, misery, discord, or destruction: “War is ####” (William Tecumseh Sherman). 2. Torment; anguish: went through #### on the job. 4. 1. The powers of darkness and evil. 2. Informal. One that causes trouble, agony, or annoyance: The boss is #### when a job is poorly done. 5. A sharp scolding: gave the student #### for cheating. 6. Informal. Excitement, mischievousness, or high spirits: We did it for the sheer #### of it. 7. 1. A tailor's receptacle for discarded material. 2. Printing. A hellbox. 8. Informal. Used as an intensive: How the #### can I go? You did one #### of a job. 9. Archaic. A gambling house. the use of #### could be as an explitive. yet when it's not, it's not profanity. the fine print says censoring profanity. the following words are not profanity. however, if a parent were to check out this site to see if it were good for thier kids- then these would make them think it's a bad site. sex, pornography, ######, #####, nazi, kill, terrorist, bomb, pipe bomb, ### (you'll probably censor that), anus, rectum, evicerate, rape, murder. hmm... which one would parents not want to see? #### or pornography? (the first word is helll) ((by the way; when signing up for the site, i did not recive a notice that this site was not for anyone under 13. however, i am currently sending information over the internet. this is a violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. which means, this PRIVATE forum is liable for a lawsuit. rolleyes.gif )) have a nice day. ((EDIT; there is nothing wrong with male and female body parts. )) This post has been edited by NOT.effing.U.N.E.more: Today, 12:21 AM anyways, just giving you a heads up, you might want to add the whole 'i'm over 13 years of age' to your agreement, as the thing about the lawsuit isn't a joke. anyways: about my indefinete suspension from posting: QUOTE We reserve the right to warn, suspend or ban any member who seriously or repeatedly violates these guidelines. We also reserve the right to edit any member’s posts that violate these guidelines. We will be fair and provide warning in all but the most extreme cases, which will result in immediate action. i fail to see how accidentally putting three "l"s instead of two is a most extreme case. i did not receive any warning from emma. the title of the PM says warning. but this is action, not a warning. which is clearly against the posted rules in the community forum. also; the community guidelines mention nothing of deleting posts. it does not say ' we reserve the right to delete posts that violate these guidelines.' no. it says edit. anyways, here's thier site, and thier forum email... ![]() http://www.marchingbandplanet.com/ office@drumcorpsplanet.com whatever you do with that, make me proud. |
