i was given this code

problem is im not sure how to use it. this is the site i want it for this site
i want it right above the "think of me thursday" (date)
when i tried it, i put it in my header but it took up the whole top & was transparent background with black righting. i just saw that i have to change the pixel width et to what i want. but how do i change the background & font color?

put that in your custom header... there shouldn't be a date there, then.
that makes it the background color, border, and stuff. you'll have to edit the width, height, and the margin left to position it..
