has anyone read lord of the flies by william golding? i have to write an essay on it based upon this question:
Kinsley Amis commented that Lord of the Flies is, "terrifying and haunting." Use references from the novel to support whether or not you agree with this statement? can anyone give some help? lol i know i'm suppose to do this myself but i thought you could give me some ideas. i've got some in my head but yeh. thanks in advance.

I wrote a paper on this for AP English last year.
I only read the first half of the book. (What can I say? I was a senior, accepted to college, it was spring, it was nice out, it was lacrosse season...) I read a few critiques of it to figure out how it ended. Then I wrote a paper on it. I got a 98%. Moral? Um...always read the book, and do your homework. But if you can't (because it is spring, after all...) just get the gist of it, and then form an opinion and write the paper. It is a good book, though. Really depicts the horrors of society. |
