My brother Brandon, whom a few of you have heard about now that he pitched his career game in the State Championship last week, was involved in a car accident around 8:30 P.M. CST in Lee's Summit, MO last night.
He was in critical, but stable condition when I spoke with Truman Medical in Kansas City yesterday evening. I even spoke to him, and he seemed in good spirits. At 9:15 A.M. this morning, he flatlined during operation because of a blod clot. He couldn't be resuscitated. Anyway, he was a great kid. I'm pretty medicated right now so I'm artificially doing okay. Seriously, though, I think I need a break from this forum, and the internet as a whole. I have a lot ahead of me. Here are a few pictures of him. He was just thirteen. ![]() (Brandon on the left, our brother Cameron on the right). Here he is doing what he loved. ![]() ![]() ![]() Brandon Scott Abbott 10.2.91 - 06.06.05 |

Brandon. QUOTE(say_what_you_mean @ Jun 6 2005, 11:10 PM) I am so sorry to hear that.. I wish you and your family well and I hope things get better for you. Take Care <3 QUOTE(ItzOnlySydney @ Jun 6 2005, 11:11 PM) whoa. that's horrible So forgive me if I break the forum rules a little right now, but this is pissing the fuck out of me. Yeah, so I'm messed up over this too - I hate knowing the way Justin is right now, it tears me apart. But to read this bullshit is just too much. It's so fucking stupid - you guys keep replying to Justin's post, telling him that you hope his family's okay, but what do you guys really know at all? Hm? Apparently not enough to be considerate. I mean, I'm sure you guys have good intentions and shit, but uh, not to be a downer or anything, he has no family anymore, just Cameron. It's depressing to read this shit. So stop. Thanks.

Honestly, there is no need for that. Obviously not all people on this forum (that will read/reply to this) will know about his life story, but it's the thought that counts. These people are just showing their condolences, respect that whether or not they know who he is exactly. ------------------------------------ Justin, your brother is most definitely in a better place. I've had many friends lost to car accidents and such, and it's always a terrible thing to happen. But realize that your brother would want you to be happy, and live your life to it's fullest. Enjoy your life, and mourn for your brother.. But don't live your life to mourn... Grow from what tears you down, and be a stronger person. |

I'm not here to start anything, but do you automatically have to assume that everyone replying here is replying for the sake of replying? Just because I'm not friends with many of you doesn't mean I can't care about others, and I'm sure a lot of the people here are like that as well. I'm not going to say any more than that, but don't automatically assume that everyone replying to this thread is replying to look good. Believe it or not, but some people actually care about others, whether they know them or their full stories or not. Sorry for trying to be considerate. I didn't realize that even in a thread such as this people would be shot down for trying to be nice and show some sympathy. Thanks, and I'm sorry for bringing that bit of this thread back, but I wasn't online yesterday or else I would have done so then. |
