Eh, I wasnt sure where to put this.
But I think its fashion. Do you like when people gauge their ears? I think it's nice when somebody has like 1/2" or somethign and thats all. Makes them look nice. &mine are at a 2., but im going to 5/8" |

I think ear gauging is kind of gross, personally. It can look cool on a young person, especially with a neat colorful titanium ring, but with body alteration I can't look at it without seeing the whole picture and considering the alteration in light of aging or a change in personal circumstances, eg. a really great job that doesn't mesh with a piercing or tat, or getting really fat and stretching something out, or surgery and having part of it removed... I have my tongue pierced and it's a small gauge, a 14. I like that if I decide I don't want it anymore (I've had it for 2 years) I can take it out and it will heal up almost as if I never did anything to it. When you stretch skin though, it doesn't shrink back. I can't imagine being 50 or 60 years old with saggy earlobes that a person can see through. Saggy bubbies are going to be bad enough, lol!
But, to each her own, if we were all the same, it would be an awfully boring world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ![]() |
