I find that surprising because like...it's Apple. And Apple is really expensive, I always thought they would just give you a new iPod if you sent it in for battery replacement.

It does say "replace your iPod." But neither this page nor others (like the guide to iPod battery replacement) that I scanned on Apple's site mentions that you might receive a refurbished or repaired iPod.

I never knew Apple was so sneaky.

"IF it is out of warranty" that is what people dont get, get the icare thing and save your self 40 on gettting a a new battary when it dies
