I just want some people to suggest some of their favorites (I'd really like to see crap like Slipknot and My Chemical Romance excluded from this list) when it comes to a song that relies heavily on the melody of the guitar.
Some that come to mind for me include: Yellow Ledbetter - Pearl Jam Jane Says - Jane's Addiction Fool in the Rain - Led Zeppelin Sweet Home Alabama - Lynard Skynard Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd Bulls on Parade - Rage Against the Machine Paranoid Android - Radiohead Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns n' Roses Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden Walk This Way - Aerosmith Santeria - Sublime All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix Add more... I forgot several thousand... |

For me, it's like everything Red Hot Chili Peppers, JOHN FRUSCIANTE I LOVE YOU!! ahem..anyway.
All songs by them are great, but here's some to listen to: Dosed Under the bridge Californication CD version or the Live at Slane Castle Purple stain Can't stop And many more, and they sound better live. Ooohhh, Change the World by Eric Clapton is good, too. Or Freedom by Jimi Hendrix, ok I should stop talking now, haha! -FaR |
