her parents dont approve .. Options

i recently gott into a relationship -- 6/4/05 -- and like -- yeah .. her friend told me that her parents dont approve of having a boyfriend .. and i'm pretty close w/ that friend, so i know she couldn't be lying to me ..

what should i do ? .. should i tell my parents that i have a girlfriend ? -- but then my parents and her parents might meet and start talking about how me and her are together ..

i would like to tell my parents .. i'm cool w/ it in them knowing [[ and they let me have a gf ]], but i'm just afraid that they'd talk about it w/ my gf's parents ..


so i'm basically asking -- do you think it's worth it to tell my parents ?? .. is there anything i could do ?? .. it's only thing that 's bothering me about our relationship ..

Well...I think it's best if you stay honest with your parents. I mean, you said that they're fine with you dating and having a gf and starting relationships. Don't hide these things from your parents; I did that with my last bf, and it wasn't very pretty in the end. Stay honest with your parents; it shows that you're taking responsibility for your own actions.

As for your gf...well, even if you don't tell your parents, they will find out sooner or later anyway. My Mom found out from my brother...and that wasn't very pretty. Personally, I wouldn't date behind my parents' back after what happened the last time I tried. If her parents doesn't allow her to date, and you two really want this to work out between the two of you, I suggest you go to her house and just maybe ask her parents how they feel about you IF you were dating their daughter...and since you're a close friend with her, her parents SHOULD know a bit about you already...

So yes I would tell your parents if I were you. Good luck!
