The Next Generation Consoles... Here are pics of either protypes or official designs of the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Nintendo Revolution. Im a BIG fan of the PlayStation series, but the design of the PlayStation 3 looks a lil retro don't you think? Scanner-ish... I really don't like the design of the controller neither. But overall, It's uh... "sexy" lol. We finally get a choice of colors too! I personally like the black one! The Revolution looks awesome as well, but I don't like Nintendo, so moving on. Xbox 360... I wouldn't call it a console anymore. It looks like my dad's Gateway computer...
Which one you think is the best? Anyways, here are pics. Enjoy! Sony PlayStation 3 Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 5 Microsoft Xbox 360 Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Nintendo Revolution Pic 1 Pic 2 |

interview with guerilla
Is the Killzone sequence a fair example of what people can expect from realtime gameplay on PlayStation 3? Jan-Bart: Yeah, it's basically a representation of the look and feel of the game we're trying to make. they also said though heavily scripted it was gameplay. dont worry Kyro man i looked that up. ![]() it being pre rendered is a rumor of the skeptics. and lets say it was pre rendered, they couldve done a way better job than that. cuz there is alot of mistakes like when they transportation exploded and the player looks away then looks back and all of a sudden. Nothing is left, no rubble, no fire, no smoke, nothing. If you pre-render something is that even possible for something to dissapear completely once it has left your view? |

Link to where you found this? Emphasis on the word trying. This is exactly what happened with the PS2. http://www.games-digest.com/2005/05/ps3_graphics_ch.html QUOTE(Games-Digest) Marv Burkett, nVidia's Chief Financial Officer, has revealed that the RSX chip, due to power the PS3 is currently unfinished. The chip is not due to be available to anyone until September. Which means the stunning visuals shown at E3 could not have been created on one, casting doubt on the validity of Sony claims that the visuals were real PS3 in-game footage. Now, even if it wasn't pre rendered, it's only a demo. Sony did this with the PS2 (see my post earlier in this thread for the "Game Over" article that discusses this) in order to screw Dreamcast over. They had demos that had stunning graphics, but when the games came out, the graphics were not very good (in some cases, the dreamcast versions were better!). Demos are much easier to make than real games, it's only made to make the game seem really great. This kind of act has turned E3 into a hype fest. |
