I have been friends with a guy since preschool. We pretty much grew up together. But you see I have this thing about people who smoke, where I really dislike them, and he does. And he's 13. So should I tell him to kick his habit, or it's over? or should I deal with it, even though it will really hurt my feelings that he's hurting himself?

huh. that's sort of hard. when some people smoke, they might not necessarily care if you list all the bad effects; most likely, they knew about them when they started but didn't care.
i guess, since both of you are pretty close friends, tell him how you feel and encourage him. there are also those programs or stuff that can help you quit. =] good luck. |
