upcoming concerts Options

theres sooooo many good concerts coming up soon. some not quite my taste, but id be willing to go since my friends like them

-kings of leon (sold out already. my friends are pisssed)
-hot hot heat, louis XIV
-snow patrol (i should be going to this one)
-the killers (well, theyll be at music midtown with lots of other bands. hopefully ill be going)


edit:// oh, i just noticed that these bands are coming too:
-muse, razorlight
-moby
-garbage
-collective soul (who im not interested in, but theyre playing with the atlanta symphony orchestra and atlanta symphony youth orchestra, which some of my friends are in, so hopefully i can go to that)
-interpol
and of course lots of other bands that im even less interested in.

so, not my favorites, but still, good enough music. whos coming near you?

I really want to go to an Otep concert on June 22, but no transportation :( its a really cheap show too. Im going to ozzfest on August 6 and i cant wait. Mindless self indulgence is this sunday but i cant go...arg.

too bad dillinger escape plan can't write a damn good song besides setting fire to sleeping giants. they are good players and have crazy ideas that you think would work well but it just doesn't.

and do i really have to go into how much otep sucks? neither one i would consider true metal. but from what bands you guys talk about i could have figured that out right away.

anyway, bands that no one has mentioned yet. this is what im planning on seeing:

July 4-Robert Plant (lead singer of Led Zeppelin) with the Strange Sensations
August 5- Gigantour: Nevermore, Dream Theater, Megadeth, Symphony-X, Fear Factory (bleh..), DEP(bleh again..), more bands to come.
September 17-Progpower 2005: Stratovarius, Therion, Angra, Orphaned Land
October-U2

nice mix of classic rock, metal, progressive rock/metal, and good pop(U2)

I like what I like and I don't think I need to be criticised by you or anyone else. I love Dilllinger Escape Plan. I love Otep. I like Green Day. My mom wants to go see Green Day, and she asked me if I wanted to come. Why the f**k would I pass up a concert? Even if I don't like them that much, I'd still go for a good time. Jesus Christ. You don't have to go around acting all elite because you think your tastes and your concerts own everyone else's tastes and concerts. We all like what we like and just because you're seeing Robert Plant doesn't mean you're better than us. I'd go if I could, but I can only go to so many out-of-state concerts. Think what you want about what is 'truly metal,' but personally... I don't care. I like what I like and I know what I know.

Anyway, enough of that... I found out that I'm most likely going to The Sounds of the Underground Tour. Also, I think I successfully talked my parents into letting me see the Blood Brothers this month. Hell yeah.
