what css does is defines certain terms so that throughout the defined area of css, all the terms you said to be a certain way are that way.
for instance, if you tell the bold tag to become red in your style definitions, then every time you use the bold tag it will be red. it is called cascading because you can have multiple layers of css and they can position over each other. i know there's another reason its called cascading but i have forgotten at the moment... |
