two questions..., extended network box and orange writing. Options

okay i am making my very first layout...

but i put in a code to hide that extended network box on the very top... and now its just a blank box... how do i get rid of the box!!

another thing is that orange writing that says About me. and all things... how do i make that the color white (so its hidden) . . .

its driving me crazyyyy
