I think that I'm suffering OCD over a guy. I feel happy, yet depressed around him. I mean, I'm happy he doesn't like hate me, and that we're friends. But I feel depressed because I know he'll never like me. My basic problem is how do I get over him? I've liked him for 2 years. Apparently, he likes two people as of now. One, he's never gotten over yet, and one which is still a mystery to me. How do I get over him, and how do I get him to like me more? Should I open up to him and just tell him exactly how I feel?

QUOTE(emazing @ May 31 2005, 9:35 PM) You don't. You don't get OCD over anything. It's a mental disorder, usually passed down through the generations of your family. You don't just suddenly GET IT over one person, event, object, ritual, etc. It's a mental disorder where you MUST always do something and you get really weird and obsessive over it. Example(s): Always feeling the need to tap your foot during a movie. Always brushing your teeth after bike-riding. Always washing your hands after reading. See, weird things like that. Those are just a few examples and Yanlin provided a few others. Seriously... Like Maria said, learn the different between 'OCD' and 'infatuation' before you make a thread on it. Research OCD if you want. You can't get it over anything. It's just a disorder. |
