I have been friends with a guy since preschool. We pretty much grew up together. But you see I have this thing about people who smoke, where I really dislike them, and he does. And he's 13. So should I tell him to kick his habit, or it's over? or should I deal with it, even though it will really hurt my feelings that he's hurting himself?

if he is your friend, and you disconnect yourself because of his habits, it will just drive him farther into them. If you truly care about this person, you should support them. Ask him not to smoke around you, but you have to remember that smoking is a very addictive habit, so threats like that wont stop him. he has to stop himself. Maybe talk to his parents...but try to be a good friend and respect his choices. stupid or not. and yeah, tell him I said hes stupid.
