I have been friends with a guy since preschool. We pretty much grew up together. But you see I have this thing about people who smoke, where I really dislike them, and he does. And he's 13. So should I tell him to kick his habit, or it's over? or should I deal with it, even though it will really hurt my feelings that he's hurting himself?

Hi Katie. You are in a tough situation. I think you are right not to want your friend to smoke. He's too young to be smoking and it's sooo bad for him. The best thing for you to do is to continue being his friend and don't ditch him because of his habit. Just gently encourage him to quit. Let him know you care about his health.
