-I've seen them before...

among the blue
of the seas from past summer
where those laughing memories still play
from time to time,

mixed with the purple
of the iris
that an old crush had given to me
the tender moment
the surge of emotions,

drenched with the green
from the paint
a younger cousin
had splashed on my new dress
with mischief about his aura,

hidden in that fond grey
that lingers about my city
in its foggy spectacle hanging drearily
almost sadly
upon its denizens.

they just
