i want new music. i like new wave..and indie..and alternative. gimmegimmegimme.
such as: ted leo and the pharmacists, the shins, beulah, the new pornographers..light-hearted music. some electronica/technoish stuff isn't bad on the occasion either. such as: the postal service, lcd soundsystem.. thanks in advance. |

Wasn't there a post similar to this a few days ago??? Oh well, I'll just leave my humble markings on this one as well...
 If you like The Postal Service, Modest Mouse, and Radiohead, check this band out. Namlessnumberheadman or Namelessnumberheadman Stream Site They are freakin' awesome. My boyfriend is really good friends with the drummer. This band deserves any attention they get they are truly, truly talented. These guys sound like The Cure. They are definately worth checking out...VHS Or Beta. They have kick ass little stream radio on their main page where you can stream their whole album. Don't forget Jawbreaker. These guys started what we call emo today. They remind me a bit of Alkaline Trio but overall their sound is their own. Great band. Who else??? Can't forget Death From Above 1979. These guys also kick major ass. Also there's Bloc Party...not great, but pretty good. Also, if you're into female vocals or goth music at all, try checking out these bands: MorissonPoe and 33degree Enjoy! PS- The Smiths rock my socks. So do The Sisters of Mercy, Gary Numan, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, XTC and tons of other 80's alternative/gothic bands. |
