Okay I was watching Etertainment Tonight earlier, and all the buzz seemed to be about Mary Kay and Villi's wedding over the weekend. To summarize the reason why is because Mary Kay was Villo's sixth grade teacher, who is also 21 years older than him. (Can you imagine marrying your teacher?) But anyways To make a long story short when the boy was in middle school he would always come over to her house. Then one night Mary Kays husband chased him away. She found him while driving in a van. They made out and did whatever. Then were caught by the police. Prior to that Villi had made a $20 bet that he could sleep with her. The police the caught them that night and arrested Mary Kay who spent several years in prison.

The full story can be found on this site:

So the debate is do you think the couple should be supported?

Finally, a topic a current events/pop culture worth discussion! You have brought up a very interesting question. I'm torn about that. The libertarian in me says (now) they are both consenting adults, let's keep the government, and everyone else, out of it, the Catholic part of me says they should be ashamed of themselves, particularly Mary Kay. You don't betray your husband, first of all, and you don't press a sexual urge with a minor, even if you are in love with him, secondly. I mean, she may not have liked the law (statutory rape=sex w/ a minor, consenting or no) but that was the law and she broke it. Besides, I don't know any children, particularly not 12 y.o.s who know what they want to do with their lives, realistically. Fine to be in love (her already being married aside) but wait for the right time, if it's meant to be, it'll be.

Infidelity is a dirty practice.

A 13 year old pubescent can believe pretty much anything with a seductive vagina in his face.

This was absolutely disgusting.

Oh wait! Time to give props where props are due.
At 13 years old, I had a few incredibly attractive teachers. I hardly understood what exactly happened during sex at that age, but I had a decent idea as to who was and wasn't sexually attractive. I remeber seeing certain guys shamelessly give girls kisses in school and talk about makeout sessions with such pompous conviction, that, I was jealous... but his actions warranted a sort of respect that makes you damn near invincible at that age.

For this kid to have sex with his teacher, he's a walking man among boys, or, god among men. Not only does he have girls interested in him, but he has a teacher with he has a sexual relationship. Wow, and wow. At 13, I'm sure he understood deep down that there wasn't quite right with what he was doing with this wife and mother who is 21 years older than him, then again, he's an impressionable 13 year old.

Fast forward to the present, they are two consenting adults and the government and media need to mind their own damned business. Still, its one of those blemishes on the skin of society that we'd love to conceal.
