Wellll, me and my friend were just wondering this because once I went into this room and this Newbie double posted and everyone was like screaming [well, maybe not screaming... just saying in a mean way] at the poor guy ["Ugh, don't double next time.
 "] but then I went into another room and this guy with like 2,000 posts triple-posted but no one said a thing.  Be honest!!!

Not really. A newbie who is respectful, reads and follows all the rules, is helpful, but only has lets say 200 posts will be way more respected than someone who is rude, spams, doesn't follow the rules and has 9000 posts. If you think having more posts gives you more respect, then that is sad. I can name a few off the top of my head people who have thousands of posts and are spammers and unhelpful.
