I think certain forums should be banned from guests. Especially skins, scripts, pictures etc..
In a way it would be A LOT easier to track for people who jock things from CB... because now everyone can browse through the forums and take anyone's work without permission and no one will ever find out. Also, I think people should actually contribute to CB for using its resources. Well, I mean, at least join. Moreoever, it will help CB in getting more people to join instead of having so many guests. I know this is a really big thing... and it will bring a lot of consquences, but I really, really just wanted to sound this out. |

on the jocking skins whatever, you know how they have "download this skin" blah blah? it would be a good idea to count how many people click that and log ip addresses and such, and put in screenshots of the layout instead of actually having a tester xanga. that way, you couldn't look at the source to take it, and then you'd have an ip address list of who visited what. we could notify the guests to only click the download link if they intend to use it, for the purpose that we use the address to track things.
okay i really lost my train of thought. sorry guys. on the 50+ posts.. i really don't think that's a good idea. it's a good system in the form that you must have 50 posts of information or opinions that contribute to the community, but then those 50 posts would need to be checked and discussed. many people have 50 posts. this would be a hassle for the moderators.. so would be what i wrote above. i just think that we should track people and log ip numbers of guests that view the codes and members. that way we could see who visits for just the codes and who visits and is also active in the forums. i have thoroughly confused myself, but hopefully, you all somewhat understand my point of view. |
