I get my hair done at the salon. But for me my reason is I have some greys and home brands won't cover them very well. I also have long hair, almost to my elbows, and as one person mentioned before, it would get messy and be very easy to miss spots if I did it myself. I also get it streaked many different colours at once, so going to the salon is better for me. But because of the expense, I don't go as often as I would like to go.
If you are looking to just change your colour a bit - not an intense change - and you don't care about streaking and cost is an issue for you, then you can do it at home. I used to do it myself with no help before the greys came in and before it was this long and before I decided I liked streaks. |
