Okay, So I'm my friend's campaign manager. She's running for secetary and basically all they do is take notes at the meetings and e-board meetings, and then on Fridays they tell the minutes...stuff like that.

I need some ideas for a persuasive speech to get her elected.. any ideas?

what's her max speech time?
to get elected for anything, you have to stand out in a professional manner and such.

outward appearances, do all the stuff that the speech teacher told you. hand gestures, eye contact, "confident feet" as mr morrow puts it, the triangle, blah.

speech content, be creative. i'll just write the general idea of what i wrote in my election speech when i ran for secretary and made it. i think mine was like. maybe a minute.

i'm not going to stand up here and babble on about why i'm such a wonderful candidate for this position. i'm not going to waste your time and make up promises-to-go and ramble about how i can obviously do so much better than other people (gestures to other candidates). my purpose right now is to tell you what every organization wants in a perfect secretary. a secretary is diligent and willing to sacrifice. a secretary keeps the people up to date. a secretary's first priority is to make sure that his or her organization is not handicapped or misinformed. a secretary will never leave the organization in disorder. the secretary is the peace keeper. though there will be times when everything seems to go wrong, the secretary will and must change that. i'm -insert name-, i am running for secretary, and i will do everything i can to do my job. i won't let you down.

blah blah blah. it's obviously not exactly what i said, since i was elected in september. i felt stupid for making such a "you can definitely count on me!" speech, but hey, i got the position.

good luck to your friend.
