I gonna highlight my hair and get it cut. should i cut my hair and highlight it? or highllight and get it cut? cuz i have no clue!!! pls help

okay, well now i just feel stupid. sorry for the dumb question! but yeah, now that i've thought about it, it makes much more sense to cut it first!!!
