I read this book at Borders. It's a #1 New York Times Bestseller. It's called "He's Just Not That Into You." If you haven't read it, you should. If you don't have time, I summarized it nicely for you (:

Guys are not stupid. My dad's company, Northrop Grumman, had their quarterly settling up thing and they have a net worth of 29 billion. Yeah, billion. Their executive panel consists of 8 males and 1 female. I'm not adressing the competency of males vs. females so don't call me sexist. But I do have a relevant point here. As much as we (females) would like to believe it, guys are not stupid. They know when they're being manipulated, they know when you like them, they know when they've got you so blind that they can play you, and they are intellectually and emotionally sensitive creatures.

GASP. SURPRISE!

But above all, they know what they want. And subtlety is not an issue here. Most guys make it clear exactly what they want. Therefore, take everything at face value. Don't read deeper into things and search for subliminal messages that simply aren't there. You'll go crazy. Literally.

If a guy wants to be with you badly enough, he'll do anything it takes. There is no such thing as a guy that simultaneously likes you, and yet is not with you. A guy who really likes you will figure out a way to be with you. He'll make the first move. And if he dosen't, well then he's just not that into you. Either that, or he's just a really stupid incompetent loser. And why would you wanna date someone like that anyways?

And why on earth would you waste time with someone who's not that into you? You deserve a great guy who loves you with all his heart and would do anything to make you feel happy, loved, satisfied, and content by his side.

Anyone who tells you anything to the contrary is full of....

yup, you guessd it...

BULLSHIT.

So if I have not clearly stated it. Or you simple minded, delusional, obsessive psychopathic people can't figure it out:

If he's not with you, he dosen't want to be with you. If he broke up with you, he dosen't want to be with you. He's not really that into you, and he never was. There's no other reason for it. And unless he comes back groveling and says something along these lines, "I made the biggest mistake of my life, please take me back.", he dosen't want you. And even then you should reconsider very carefully as to what your answer is, because a guy who really loves you will want you by his side no matter what.

Humans have a bad tendency to do the least of what is expected. Which is bad. So set high standards, because there is someone out there who will give you everything you ever wanted...
