crush on my best guy friend., I'm gay, and I don't know what he is. Options

I posted a topic asking for advice on how to tell my friends I'm gay a while back. I've come out to all of them except one. My best friend who I think I'm in love with. It could just be an insane hormone haze or it could be a serious feeling that's not going away anytime soon. I'm starting to think it's serious. The reason I haven't come out to him is because I've always kind of mock-flirted with him as kind of a joke. It's just something that all my friends do. I'm worried that if I come out to him he'll start to think that the mock-flirting wasn't as much mock as he thought. Which wouldn't be wrong. I don't even know if he's gay. he's kind of effeminate and he tries to hide it I think, but he also is very christian,( Not so much he would hate me forever when I come out he would deal) but I think he could be using that to hide that he's gay or bi. I catch him staring at guys sometimes. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. I don't know. I really need advice on this.

Well maybe you should ask him because what if he's not and you end up flirting with him when he's straight. Well it'll be weird if you go up to him like "Hey, are you gay?" Well i don't really know but I think he might be straight there's a good chance =\ well i don't think you should tell him that you're gay it might scare him maybe watch him for a while see what he does.
