so we had a drug test for all our employees at our work place. turns out i FAILED. why? because i was tested positive for opium. not really surprising since poppy seeds contain opium [no matter how small of an amount there is] and i've been eating a hand full of poppy seed muffins recently. so i was suspended from work for that.
then they decided to turn it in for further testing. they called me back, said it was still positive and that i was terminated without a second chance for testing. WHAT.. THE.. F~ is it right to be fired because of a failed drug test that was caused by food? food thats sold in almost any food market? WHAT THE HELL KIND OF BULLSH*T IS THAT?! so how the hell am i supposed to explain this to them? if it were medication, then i'd be able to prove [with a doctor's note]. but this is food for crying out loud. gawd, what the hell am i supposed to do. -_- |

QUOTE You shouldn't have eaten poppy seeds then ! Everyone knows that poppy seeds test positive for uhm. That drug stuff (opium, heroine) yadyadyada. Did you know that they were going to have a drug test beforehand? If you did, you definitely should've stopped. And after the first test, you still ate more poppy seeds? You could've just stopped. And besides, anyone could use the excuse that they ate poppy seeds. They really have no proof of telling whether or not it's drugs or food.. Yeah, I kind of agree with Eve, but that's not fair at all. Eh. I'm sorry. ![]() |
