Sorry if there's already a topic on this.

Well, our school news paper is writing an article on the Miss America pagent. (Why? I don't know. ermm.gif ) It got into the whole world peace thing and how no matter what, all the women say they want world peace. This is what I had to say about that...

I highly doubt that's what those woman want. They're too worried about their hair to actually care about the rest of the world. I mean, I'm sure some do. But the majority.. I doubt it. _dry.gif Plus, anyone who says world peace is good for the world doesn't look into it enough.

I think there are way too many wars going on in the world about the stupidest thing. But some wars are important for the world. Without it, there'd be absolutly no evolution. I'm talking about society's evolution. Look at it this way:

Think of the Romans. Do you honestly thing they would have gotten as technologicly advanced and helped society so much if they hadn't concored all the land? Without some wars, no one would have gotten any where. Period. Rome wouldn't have turned into the Roman empire and wouldn't have gotten so far and so many other things that have helped today's society. You must look much farther into war than death and misery. Without it, we wouldn't be Americans. It's a way of human progress. And that's a fact.

So, let me know what you think while I go take my shower. tongue.gif

well we as humans want world peace, it could happen. We have so much freedom. but if we limited that freedom and were strict we could have world peace. If we killed all the people that have aids we can have world peace. If we diminished all things that can harm us like drugs, guns, anything that can harm us has to be completely gone.

like i know we all want a safe world but in order for us to have a safe world we would need to be strict. you not gunna have that much freedom. for example if we had a comunistic government nobody would be poor, but then nobody would be rich. you see. you have to give up some things inorder to make things perfect.

World peace is a good goal but there has to be a balance in order for us to have freedom in our lives.

I disagree with you on this one. I don't think it could ever happen, period. As Americans, we do have a damn good amount of freedom compared to other countries but the world doesn't revolve around America. The rest of the world would need those same freedoms, as well. Besides that, I totally don't think making anything more strict would work. There are terrorist acts all over the world that are against the laws. Does that stop those men and women from profroming those acts? Of course not. If someone wants something bad enough, there's no chance in hell a law or more strict rules would stop them. Okay.. and the killing off the people with AIDs is f*cking cruel. Why would you kill someone because of a disease they have? mad.gif That doesn't even relate to world peace, you f*cking moron! I'm not talking about world health. PEACE! Do you know the definition of peace? Apparently not! So let me indulge you.

Peace=
1. The absence of war or other hostilities.
2. An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
3. Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations
4. Public security and order
5. Inner contentment; serenity: peace of mind.

Does it say anything about Diseases in there? Or more specificly, STDs? I think not, my ignorant friend. Also, have you ever heard of a little thing called, "The Black Market"? Apparently not, as well. Are you aware that it is a United States law that Switchblades are illegal under any scercumstances? This started when the real gangs started. They used small switchblades and eventually they baned them. Many people and gangs still use them today. Laws don't stop people. Ever hear the expression, "Guns don't kill people. People kill people,"? You might agree or disagree which personaly your opinion on that doesn't mean two shits to me. But the fact is, both things play a role. People will find a way to get what they want. Period. stubborn.gif Also, would you like to know how many drugs are created and what they are? They made from the ground and they're these things called PLANTS! The government or the world can't track down every living plant of canobus or other different plants. It's just not possible. People can still grow it without being caught. It happens all the time, smart one.

Also, I agree that there are some benefits to comunism. But apparently you don't know much about it. Again, me being an eighth grader and only having history that taught us about communism one year (and that was seventh grade) I'm sure I don't know much about it either, but more than you. Yeah.. everyone is at about the same financial position in communistic governments. But they also have very little say in their own government and they must follow all orders and they can't say anything bad about their ruler. If you have an opinion, you have EVERY right to voice it. In a communist government, that is not possible. At least not leagally.

If you have a retort worth my time, I will respond. But I HIGHLY doubt you do. _dry.gif
