can you guys please help me with this math problem?? thx ;D

At a fixed interest rate, an investment of $8,000 earns $420. How much do you need to invest at the same rate to earn $672?

i have no idea how to do this.. :(

i think its one of those porportion problems

8,000 /420 = x/ 672 and thne yu crossed multiply

420x= 8000x672 and then after yu find out what 8000x672 is divide both sides by 420 to make x alone and yu`ll find what x is.

i think thats how it would be.
