I'm 19 years old and I live with my parents. Why you ask? It's about a 5 minute walk from the college I attend, and plus, free rent. But the downside of that is I have to deal with my parents. I have come to an age where everything they do gets on my nerves. I love them dearly but I would love to move out.
I have to go to bed when they do. I can't stay up past the time they go to bed or my dad will get angry. Last night I stayed up all night because I was afraid I was going to sleep in. I'm starting a new job about 1 1/2 hours away from here for the summer and I have to wake up at 6am every day. My parents keep saying "You're going to have a tough time there." That really upsets me for some reason. Even with school work, they'll be like, "Study! Or there's a job at Wal-Mart waiting for you". That makes me feel depressed. ![]() What I would love to do is move out of town, and go study school somewhere fun, and nice. God, I wish that were true. I also forgot to mention that the other day I was saying to my mom that I was really cold that day. She said in response, "I don't know". They're not even listening. ![]() |

my brother is attending a college 30 minutes away and my parents were so excited that he was moving out even though they could have saved money...
you should move out as soon as possible. tell you parents that you know they want whats best for you and everything, but you want to be independent and that you are old enough to take care of yourself. and since you want to move out of town, work really hard this semester and next year you can transfer to another college far far away. |
