I'm 19 years old and I live with my parents. Why you ask? It's about a 5 minute walk from the college I attend, and plus, free rent. But the downside of that is I have to deal with my parents. I have come to an age where everything they do gets on my nerves. I love them dearly but I would love to move out.
I have to go to bed when they do. I can't stay up past the time they go to bed or my dad will get angry. Last night I stayed up all night because I was afraid I was going to sleep in. I'm starting a new job about 1 1/2 hours away from here for the summer and I have to wake up at 6am every day. My parents keep saying "You're going to have a tough time there." That really upsets me for some reason. Even with school work, they'll be like, "Study! Or there's a job at Wal-Mart waiting for you". That makes me feel depressed. ![]() What I would love to do is move out of town, and go study school somewhere fun, and nice. God, I wish that were true. I also forgot to mention that the other day I was saying to my mom that I was really cold that day. She said in response, "I don't know". They're not even listening. ![]() |

aNg3LBaBi3, you're totally on track with what I'm saying! They definitely don't listen. Even my good friend met them one time and he said to me later, "They're not very nice people". Which I couldn't believe he said, it's true in some respects. At supper tonight, they were like, "You just seem like you're in the woods" or something like that. I just wish they would give me some space but I need to move out and learn how to be independent. I don't want to be 25 and still living with my parents and not know what it's like to live on my own.
