What exactly is the program and what can you use it for?

I KNOW I'M STUPID, SO DON'T TELL ME I'M STUPID, BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW I'M STUPID.

Basically you code pages in dreamweaver. I personally find it to be rather cumbersome because, at least on the school's Macs, it doesn't allow you to openly edit the source. I think the teacher disabled that option. Dreamweaver is really more for novices and lazy people than experienced designers... And people who can't create tables. o.O
I don't believe it supports PHP creation yet, nor external CSS. You can pretty much only use it for creation of HTML, DHTML, and XHTML pages. From there, it's fairly easy to convert to PHP... So yeah. The only thing I ever used it for in class was a table which had to hold a bunch of iFrames because that was the way they wanted the page to be designed.
