i'm am doing this poem project and i picked out a poem from the movie Thirteen.

Book Of Lies
He was crippled,
But only his body was cracked.
It's not simple,
Nor is an easy matter to explain.
Lets just leave it at that she says,
And closes the holy book of lies.
She covers her eyes, denying to herself
What she thought happened.

i need to know what lines stood out?
when you reread it, what else did you understand about it?
what do you think the poet wanted you to get from his/her poem?

i know i can answer those questions but it's kinda hard to explain...i can't put it into the right words.

i also have to do a biography of the author Eliza Mae Smith...i searched almost everywhere in google for her and found nothing...so if know a site about her i would apperciate that

What is your answer? Share your answer and maybe people can help you put it into "the right words"? _smile.gif
