OK I have a paper to write for my class Southern Woman:Myth and Reality. I'm going to be writing on the sterotypes and beliefs, etc of southern belles. I have to get opinions from other people that I will use in my paper. I thought CB would be a great place to start. So what comes to mind when you think of a southern belle. Also do you see southern belles are just be based on one race, white woman or do you consider other races as southern belles if they are from the south. Thank you in advance.

I always think of a caucasian woman in a parlor with a parasol and a big hoop skirt because we did a musical in Honors Choir that had a scene like that. It was entitled "Gone With The Breeze."
