So, I know we've all gone test driving at a dealership before... I prefer first abusing one car, seeing how it goes, then buying another one... not a good thing to do, but it's the only way to see how a car can perform without screwing up your own. cry.gif

Im ditto with that first post. My dad beats the hell out of a test car, of course if the mofo aint in the front seat with you. Normally they arent when you pull up in a Jaguar to test drive a Ford Mustang GT or another Jaguar at the dealer.

What we do is, with only 20 or so miles on the car, floor it out of every stop light, Neutral drop it a few times (only 1-2k rpm). Do an uphill burnout. Try the 0-60 and compare it with magazine published times. Try a 0-100, 1/4 mile with our G-tech GT1 (you know they gotta think soemthing when they see that...). Then we try hard cornering, around tight turns etc. Also we go to about 85mph, or whatever we usually drive in our own cars and then STAND on the brakes. Literally, stand on them. If they can stop really quick its good.

Isnt much else you can really do.
