link!, need help with link! Options

hello im making a layouts site. the link for my layouts would be like this [x] and the x would be the link. but when i go to new weblog entry i press link and i type in the link, but it shows the url. how can i make the url name to x? please help me! i know this is kind of confusing but it's hard to explain.

I agree with mona, that's exactly correct. If you want to make sure that the code worked then, make sure u uncheck the

edit html

box. If nothing is in the weblog entry after you've typed in your code with the box checked and you unchecked it and nothing's there, then you may have made a mistake in the code.
