Yeah, this really bugs me (excerpted from an article):

As if those crazy Tru Calling fans haven't suffered enough at the hands of Fox, the network has decided to pull the serial thriller off the air after this Thursday's episode — effectively cheating them out of seeing the show's sixth and final original installment. Adding insult to injury, Fox is replacing next week's Tru finale with The Simple Life: Interns! I'm beginning to think someone at Fox really hates Eliza Dushku.

Now, there's only one freaking episode left - PEOPLE CAN WAIT FOR PARIS HILTON! Gah. I mean, it's bad enough that it's already been cancelled...they make me angry. My friend e-mailed them this:

I am a huge Tru Calling fan and I was depressed when it ended, ecstatic when it began airing the final shows and crushed again to learn that not only were you ending it just one episode shy of the very last episode, but that you were ending it to begin airing the simple life: interns.  Isn't it bad enough that everyone is tired of paris hilton?  But did you honestly have to stop the airing of the final episode of Tru Calling for a pointless, mindless, grey-matter deteriorating show that does not even interest people?

Blah...and the concept of "Tru Calling," is unique, too. I mean - TV IS BEING OVERRUN BY REALITY SHOWS! Can't we have real shows nowadays? They're all being outnumbered. I'm about to send them hate mail. If you're a fan, here's their address: askfox@foxinc.com

tru calling all the way!!! only six episodes ran of it? thatsa bitch...

Well, what happened was that they had the entire first season, and then Fox cancelled it because not enough people were watching it. By then, they had produced six more episodes and Fox agreed to show them. Now, they're not showing the final episode to clear up the space for "The Simple Life: Interns", as aforementioned.
My friend sent another one on another alias (this one's funny):

Dear Fox Network:

I would like to make it clear as to how disappointed I am in your network for taking my favorite show, Tru Calling, off of the air one episode short of the very last one.  Whoever came up with the idea to let The Simple Life: Interns take precedence over the last episode of Tru Calling is asinine.  Is it really that hard to air the last episode of Tru Calling?  Because I am certain that the soon-to-be viewers of TSL:Interns, whom are very few and far between, can wait another week for the show that they are not anxiously awaiting the arrival of.  I would strongly suggest airing the last episode of Tru Calling to satisfy all of the hopeful fans who despise a reality show like TSL that makes a parody of honest people and their lifestyles.  Good shows like Tru Calling are hard to come by and it is a shame it did not receive the attention it deserved, but please do not add to the reality show-ridden air waves that seem to be so popular these days, that is just not the kind of shows that are desired.
